Tusen takk for all støtte etc det siste døgnet etter at Gulliver fikk slag. Her kommer noen oppdateringer på ham;

* Thanks a lot for all the support I had on Gulliver since he had a stroke yesterday. Here are some updates:

Last night he was inside, something that he was not happy for, because he is getting too warm. Therefore it has been quite a lot of nagging, falling over, go outside, go inside, laying down, standing up, there has not been much sleep for me.

He was allowed to get out in his kennel this morning and he was happy for that. There he found his ball and he could also get some rest. He also had his first dosis of steroids.

At noon I found out that it would be a good idea to take some pics of him as you never know what will happen. Then he came running out of the kennel with the beloved blue ball that he found behind the barn when we moved here 5.5 years ago. He was stumbling around, but we were definitely going to play! It seems like he is getting better by activity, he is holding his head a little to the left, but his movements were stronger and stronger the more he was playing. He fell over a few times but got back in his feet again and continued playing.

I talked to the veterinary today and she was very surprised that he was on his feet again that quickly. Yesterday I was sure he would not come home alive, today he was running around in the garden with his ball. Yesterday he was not able to take a sausage that I was holding straight in front of him and was just biting in pure air to get it. Today he was very clear on where the ball was. Yesterday he was not able to lay down stabile, today he ran down the terrace-stairs. He is able to do this because of his physics, great condition and mentality.

I will be careful on being too positive, I saw yesterday how extremely quick this can happen and he is not out of danger. My opinion is however clear (which I also told the vet); this dog is rather going to play himself to death than fade away without joy and activities.

I will keep you informed.

This photo is taken today less than 24 hours after he suffered from stroke.
